PRIVATE RESIDENCE | KENT (NEAR CLARK LAKE PARK)

Two pieces for Violin and Cello by Rebecca Clarke
Written around 1916, this duo is comprised of two contrasting movements.

Reinhold Glière, Selections from Eight Pieces for Violin and Cello, Op. 39
A Russian composer of considerable fame, Glière's students include Sergey Prokofiev, Nikolay Myaskovsky, and Aram Khachaturian.

Zoltán Kodály's Duo for Violin and Cello
Kodály was a lifelong friend of Bela Bartok, and the two went on several trips together gathering folksongs.  Kodály believed,  “The works of art that exert the most powerful influence... are those that express most fully the national characteristics of the artist.”
